- Our Role: ZadBox is a marketplace connecting you with local stores to rescue surplus food. We do not prepare, own, or handle the food.
- The Model: You reserve an "Awesome Box" (surplus food) via the app and pay directly at the store when you pick it up.
- Surprise Contents: The exact contents of the box depend on the daily surplus of the store.
- Punctuality: You must pick up your reservation within the specific time window.
- No-Shows: Failing to pick up a reserved box harms the store and the environment. Repeated no-shows may lead to account suspension.
- No In-App Payments: ZadBox does not collect digital payments, nor do we process refunds. Financial transactions happen entirely between you and the Merchant.
1. Introduction
Welcome to ZadBox. These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("The User" or "Customer") and Perfecto Leaders for Information Technology LLC ("The Company", doing business as "ZadBox"). By accessing, downloading, or using the ZadBox mobile applications (Customer or Partner App) or website, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.
ZadBox is a Limited Liability Company registered in the Sultanate of Oman under Commercial Registry No. 1611176.
We reserve the right to change, modify, or amend these Terms at any time without prior notification. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Platform Services
ZadBox is a digital intermediary marketplace. We provide a platform that allows users to discover and reserve surplus food items (referred to as "Awesome Boxes", "ZadBox Bundles", or "Meals") from local restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and supermarkets (hereinafter called a "Merchant") at a discounted price.
- The "Awesome Box" Nature: To uphold the value of food preservation ("Preserving the Blessing"), Merchants compile high-quality surplus food into packages. By reserving a box, you acknowledge that the specific contents are a "surprise" and vary based on what the Merchant has available at the end of their shift.
- Availability: All offers are subject to availability and specific pickup times set strictly by the Merchant.
3. User Accounts
To use the reservation features of ZadBox, you must register for an account.
- Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate and up-to-date information (Name, Mobile Number, Email).
- Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- Termination: ZadBox reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts, or restrict access to the platform without prior warning if these Terms are violated (e.g., repeated No-Shows).
4. Ordering System: "Reserve & Pay at Pickup"
ZadBox currently operates entirely on a "Reserve & Pay at Pickup" model.
- Placement: You reserve an available box through the ZadBox App. Reserving a box secures it for you under the Merchant's specific pickup window.
- Confirmation: Upon reserving, you will receive an in-app confirmation and an Order ID / QR Code to present to the Merchant.
- Payment: No payment is collected within the ZadBox app. You must pay the total discounted price directly to the Merchant at their physical store (via Cash, POS Card Terminal, etc.) at the time of pickup.
5. Pickup & "No-Show" Policy
- Strict Timing: You must collect your reserved order from the specific Merchant branch during the exact time window shown on your order confirmation.
- Late Arrivals: If you arrive after the specified pickup window, the store may be closed, or the food may have been disposed of or reassigned.
- The "No-Show" Consequence: Reserving a box and failing to pick it up results in food waste and lost revenue for the Merchant. If you fail to pick up a reserved order ("No-Show"), it will be recorded on your account. Multiple No-Shows will result in the temporary or permanent suspension of your ZadBox account.
- Cancellations: If you cannot make it, you must cancel your reservation through the app well in advance of the pickup window to allow another user to rescue the food.
6. Refunds & Food Quality Issues
Because ZadBox does not process any payments, we do not issue financial refunds.
- Transaction Liability: The financial transaction is strictly between You and the Merchant.
- Food Quality: The Merchant is 100% responsible for the preparation, quality, safety, and allergen labeling of the food. If you discover the food is spoiled, damaged, or unsatisfactory, you must raise the issue directly with the Merchant at the store before completing the payment, or return to the store immediately.
- Merchant Errors: If the Merchant cancels the order (e.g., no surplus available), you will not be charged since payment happens at pickup, and your app status will update accordingly.
7. Intellectual Property
ZadBox retains exclusive ownership of all rights, titles, platform source code, content, logos, designs, and trademarks (whether registered or not) associated with the Platform. You may not copy, modify, or use them without our explicit written consent.
8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
- Intermediary Role: ZadBox acts solely as a technological intermediary. We do not prepare, handle, package, or sell the food. Therefore, we assume no direct liability for the quality of the food, allergic reactions, or any damages resulting from the consumption of products reserved via the Platform.
- Platform "As Is": We do not guarantee that the Platform will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free, though we take all reasonable industry measures to maintain its stability and security.
9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Sultanate of Oman. Any dispute arising from the use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman.
